It's ruff to be a dog...

Last week I got to spend a few days with three amazing dogs. We played with a frisbee, lounged around, and ate some treats (they ate dog treats, me gluten-free cookies). They were so great to be around and after a while I think they took me into their wolf pack (or so I like to pretend).

Zoe

This girl loves her frisbee. She is so easygoing and lovable. She's just one big ball of adorable.

Coco

Coco and I became fast friends. I think sometimes she likes to pretend she is a lap dog which I found to be hilarious and endearing. She also is great at snuggling. And did I mention she is really soft and fluffy?

Ike

Ike is the probably the most relaxed and "chill" dog I've ever met. It took him a little while to come around but I like to think that he warmed up to me in the end. I loved his "go with the flow" attitude and not much seemed to phase him. If I were a dog, I'd aspire to half as cool as Ike.

4th of July Weekend!

I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July weekend! I spent part of mine down in Moon, VA. It's a great little place off of the Chesapeake Bay where my grandparents own a summer home. In between all the delicious food, sun, and family, I captured a few snapshots of my time!

D.C. Family Portrait!

I teased a family portrait shoot in Washington D.C. on Tuesday on my Facebook page. I planned to meet with an incredible family on the National Mall for some family photos before they move out of state. The weather had called for partly cloudy and rain 3-4 hours after the time we chose to meet. I had some beautiful locations selected for our shoot but the rain arrived early! We decided to move the shoot to the Hirshhorn Gallery and make the most of it! They were such wonderful troopers in the midst of a downpour (thanks guys!)

I just thought I would share a quick preview!

Bahamas

Here are some of the images I promised you on Monday. I was really drawn to the landscapes that I encountered.

M.I.A.

I'm back! If you were wondering why I didn't post last week it's because I was traveling. I started out going up to New York City for two days and then left on a cruise for the Bahamas. I went kayaking with manatees in Florida, snorkeling in Great Stirrup Cay, and site-seeing in Nassau. It was a perfect week.

I'll be back Wednesday to share some more pictures from my trip!

Cicadas 2013!

The cicadas have returned. I have fond memories of these little dudes when they last came to visit.

Anyone see the article Fredericksburg.com posted regarding the different uses people have found for cicadas? If not, check it out here!

Chris Turns 26!

Over the weekend my brother turned 26. To mark the occasion, I decided to take some photos of the birthday boy.

My brother is throwing a "White Trash Birthday Bash" in July and he wanted to demonstrate what an example of a costume for the party could be. If you know me, I love a good themed party. (Heck. I love a good themed anything) Below is what we came up with!
